DS 300 は各種工業アプリケーション向けの多機能計測器です。基本ユニットは、LCDグラフィック・ディスプレイ、2つのリレー出力、USBインタフェースなどで構成され、これらがパネル/壁面取付け用ケースに収容されています。各種のオプションも準備されており、ニーズに応じて柔軟にシステムを構成できます。

オプションには、データ・ロガ、CSバスまたはModbus用RS-485インタフェース、CS社の流量センサおよび露点センサからの入力、プロセス信号(0～1V、0～10V、0～20mA、4～20mA)および温度センサ(熱電対、Pt100、Pt1000)の入力などがあります。 

Industrial communication

Measurement in industrial environment often lacks of convenient acquisition and monitoring. The operator would like to have all measurement values on the screen in the office area rather than walking from one instrument to the other to get the readings. CS is offering various solutions to bring information from the factory to the office. Basically DS 300 supports following filedbus options:

RS-485-Bus
RS-485 bus is commonly used in industrial applications. It can reach up to 1000 m distance with a shielded twisted pair cable. If further distance is required, a repeater can be
installed to reach another 1000 m. For the communication protocol the user can select CSBus (internal CS protocol for CS-Monitor software) or Modbus for third party software (SCADA). Through a RS-485 / USB converter the system is connected to a USB port of the office PC.

Ethernet
Since Ethernet is commonly available in offices it becomes more and more poplar in industrial environment as well. DS 300 can be connected to an Ethernet switch or router and through the software CS-Monitor (CSM-S or CSM-M) accessed as if DS 300 would be connected directly to an USB port at the PC.
